FINANCIAL ASSISTANT
Job Description

Summary of position: A Financial assistant works with our Financial Administrator, Program directors and individual residents to manage and facilitate the financial support needs of the individuals we support. Banking and shopping for client support is part of this role. This position assures client financial goals are being met and documented per TLC and OAR standards. Maintaining client financial support documentation and reconciling banking information to verify accuracy.
Location: Gresham Area Homes - supporting 4 homes, up to 12 clients.
Days/Hours: Flexible hours- up to 30 hours/wk.
Pay scale: $19-20 starting pay
Supervisor: Financial Administrator - Bookkeeper
Duties:
-Meet with each individual and their program director to plan and facilitate activities in support of their goals.
-Pre-arrange funding for activities and assure proper documentation is completed for all financial supports provided.
-Review and reconcile banking and financial statements.
-Maintain receipts for all purchases per OAR standards.
-Role model expected behavior and be a team player.
-Assure financial plans are being followed as written.
-Work with Financial Administration to assure financial support is carried out.
Requirements:
-Must be at least 21 years old and pass a criminal background check, then maintain criteria per OAR standards for providing care to Individuals with I/DD.
-Must be familiar with and comply with all TLC policies and procedures.
-Must be a licensed driver and maintain a clean driving record while employed by TLC. Must meet criteria to be covered by TLC's vehicle insurance.
-Familiar with QuickBooks, Excel and financial ledgers/tracking.
-Previous experience/education with accounting/bookkeeping.
